The Jackal is seen driving a white Alfa Romeo Spider
Synopsis
The Jackal is an elusive assassin who makes his living by executing murders for the highest price. He soon meets his match in a tenacious British intelligence officer who tracks him down in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe.
Referenced in Graham Norton i gosti: Denzel Washington/Paul Mescal/Saoirse Ronan/Eddie Redmayne/Blossoms (2024)
In The Day of the Jackal (1973), The Jackal also drives a white Alfa Romeo, albeit a model from an older generation. In my opinion, the series is worth watching, especially since Eddie Redmayne’s performance as the hitman is simply outstanding.
She also comes off very convincing as someone who really knows her way around guns and even in the action scenes shows strength, dynamism and ability to make quick decisions
He embodies his role in an incredibly versatile way, in one scene he is very natural and caring like a family man, in another scene he is totally calculating and cold as ice, and you can totally believe it by his very distinct facial expressions. The female lead role of secret agent Bianca, on the other hand, is sadly a very flat role of a woman who can only punch and doesn’t act subtly at all, in my opinion.
She also has unnecessary family scenes that totally distract from the actual plot
She’s very ruthless, both to her own family and to her sources, and has way more screen time than the Jackal, which sadly slows down the tension more often. I think her story is too broad and her role too unsympathetic to find the series 100% good.

But because Eddie’s performance is so outstanding and the series is of incredibly high aesthetic quality, with great shots of the city and landscape and top-notch James Bond music, I think it’s worth watching. A new season of “Silo” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
