Synopsis
Nate Busko has spent 12 of his 17 years running from his past
Tired of bouncing from foster home to foster home, he now lives in his car, eats corn husks, and uses track practice as a shower.
Alone, he is haunted by fragments of traumatic memories from his past
By nightfall, he couldn’t be more different from the cocky, domineering personality of his school.
Enter Stan Deen, a popular high school drama teacher struggling with his own problems
He sees Nate’s hidden talent and need for guidance where no other teacher has, and decides to help.
However, in a stunning turn of events, Nate is arrested in the middle of school and taken away in handcuffs
Stan follows Nate to the police station and not only posts bail, but agrees to take Nate back to his own home, despite the raised eyebrows he receives from the other teachers.
Stan is willing to do whatever it takes to help his troubled student
But the question is: can you really help anyone if you are not willing to help yourself?
